FROM LIFETIME TO LIFEWIDE LEARNING
Jenny and Yoga, India 2009
Like everyone, I am the product of my upbringing, but I must accept responsibility for what I have done and become. For much of my life, I have been a compulsive learner, yet as I reflect on its course, I recognise that my learning was linear and tentative. Perhaps we all mellow with age and I would have developed broader interests in time. However, my research on lifewide learning has undoubtedly had a positive impact on my own evolution as a lifewide learner and greater self-actualisation.
This is a very personal account, in which I trace my development from an introspective, insular learner to one whose interests are richer and healthier for their social dimensions.
